This is our sales website. Every horse listed on the menu is for sale, unless otherwise noted (e.g., if a sale is pending or the horse that has sold is recent). We are glad you’re here.
Auld Macdonald Farm Arabians is owned by Ian and Janet Macdonald. It is the home to our herd sire, US National Champion Legacys Renoir+ (Legacy of Fame x SC Psavannah), and to our outcross stallion, 2007 Gazal Al Shaqab son, Caravagio.
Our horses are part of the family. We encourage each to perform and behave to the best of their ability. With guidance from our gifted trainer and friend, Kathy Atkinson, we maintain 2-4 of horses in training year-round focused on a full show schedule, up to and including national-level shows. As amateur handlers and riders, working with Kathy, we focus on the Sport Horse Under Saddle, Sport Horse In Hand, and Dressage disciplines.
Auld Macdonald Farm is a private facility nestled between three mountains ranges in southeastern Arizona’s Cochise County. Our four-acre farm is well organized – there is a 7-stall barn, a 60 x 200-meter dressage arena, a 60-foot round pen, and several turnout paddocks.
In addition to our show string, we have a small band of Arabian and Appaloosa broodmares. We breed two to three purebred Arabian and Half Arabian foals each year, a number of which are listed for your consideration.

Cheers,
Janet & Ian
