Fancy has her 2023 Coggins, vaccinations (6-way, rabies), and has had her teeth floated. She is barefoot and trimmed every 6 weeks without issue.
When formally naming the horses, as breeders we get to reflect on many things. “Fancy” or “Fancy Pants” as she’s known around the farm, is the first foal that blends both of our domestic-bred Arabian stallion lines; our 2007 Gazal Al Shaqab son, Caravagio, and our 2002 Legacy Of Fame son, US National Champion, Legacys Renoir+. Translated from Italian to English, fantasia barocca means baroque fantasy, a nod to her sire’s name from the Italian Baroque period. The fantasy salutes the impressionistic roots that run from her grandsire on her dam’s side. The resulting combination is truly breathtaking. Fancy is both athletic and feminine. She is kind, friendly, alert, focused, and willing to please.
Fancy is an Endurance prospect. She certainly has the potential to be an all-around Sport Horse prospect. With continued training and a confident rider, she will do well as a Junior Horse Under Saddle. She is fluid in her movements in all her paces and is both sturdy and fine-boned. Freshly started, Fancy is eager to go to work, and is an all around good citizen with a ‘can do’ work ethic. Fancy has a kind eye, is very people-oriented, and she fits well into a herd situation, finding her spot somewhere midway in the pecking order.
Fancy is in full-time training with a professional trainer at home in southeastern Arizona. She has a solid walk, trot, and is gaining confidence in her canter. She has no buck, and has already learned to stand still for both mounting and dismounting.
